Domus
Work about the Domus. Built inside the rocks by the ancient Ozieri a prehistoric pre-Nuragic culture, between 3400 and 2700 BC, the „Domus de Janas“ tombs on the Mediterranean island Sardinia were the sites of elation funerary rituals. They got their nickname as the „house of fairies“ from later generations who imagined the mysterious square openings to be the homes of magical creatures. Jana is derived from Diana, the Roman goddess of hunting.
The work was built up Site-specific and shown inside the Monastery of Santa Rosa in Nurri of the XVII century Sardinia, Italy. Inspired by the theme of Origins.
